Hi, I'm Weiyan Chen.

I am an assistant professor at the Yau Mathematical Sciences Center (YMSC) of Tsinghua University in Beijing. Previously, I was a Dunham Jackson Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematics at the University of Minnesota in 2017-20. I received my PhD from the University of Chicago in 2017, under the direction of Benson Farb.

My work lies at the juncture of topology, algebraic geometry, representation theory, and arithmetic. I especially like to study various moduli spaces or configuration spaces using tools from algebraic topology. Currently, I am thinking about topological questions arising from enumerative problems in algebraic geometry. Here is a list of my papers.
